Dental Implantation Process

Clear and understandable guide on how we will restore your smile. From the first consultation to the final result.

1

Consultation and Diagnostics

The first visit is for assessing your situation. A panoramic X-ray or 3D computed tomography is performed so the doctor can see the bone condition.

  • Assessment of oral condition
  • Treatment plan preparation
  • Exact price calculation
2

Surgical Procedure

Implant placement. The procedure is performed with local anesthesia, so it is completely painless. It takes about 30-60 minutes for one implant.

If bone augmentation is needed, it is often performed during this visit.
3

Healing Period

The most important stage – osseointegration (fusion of the implant with the bone). It takes 3-4 months in the lower jaw and 4-6 months in the upper jaw.

During this period, you can wear a temporary tooth so you don't feel uncomfortable about the aesthetic appearance.

4

Healing Abutment Formation

A short procedure during which the implant top is exposed and a healing abutment is screwed on. It forms a beautiful gum contour around the future tooth. Takes about 2 weeks.

5

Prosthetics

The final stage. Impressions are taken, an individual crown (tooth) is made in the laboratory and it is attached to the implant.

Result: New, perfect smile!

Process Questions

Will I be toothless during the entire healing period?

Certainly not. If the implant is placed in the aesthetic zone (front), a temporary tooth is always made so you can smile confidently during healing.

Is sick leave needed after surgery?

Usually patients return to work the very next day. After more complex surgeries (e.g. full jaw), we recommend resting for 2-3 days.
